Brandon Bloc Lordy, i have one of his ministry cover cd's on - "Superstar DJ's" How this guy ever became popular i dont know - last time i saw him, he was staggering out of legends looking completely hammered on god knows what..... and this cd sounds equally all over the shot. Worse of all, he's still playing down here at turnmills alongside alex P! - its a damn shame with all the bedroom dj's who cant get a set, but can blow some of these "icons" out the water any day. Anyone else own one of his cd's - or admit to going to one of his nights I went and saw him at sugar shack once, he covered for the whole night when jeremy healy failed to turn up - another caner. come on - admit it
Re: Brandon Bloc its a damn shame with all the bedroom dj's who cant get a set, but can blow some of these "icons" out the water any day. but its not wot you know its who you know in this business
Saw him @ Nice @ the Playrooms a while back and he was excellent. People having a go @ Bloko & Julesy today. Is this obvious bandwagon day?
Re: Re: Brandon Bloc You will be glad to know 1 of these "icons" is going to be starting a satellite channel, which will be playing music of all styles by people not given airplay by radio/TV stations. The reason behind the idea & I quote this "icon" :'TO GIVE PEOPLE A CHANCE'
Jules is good, he just has an image to shed - whether he brought it on himself or not is another argument. His Quontact set is still one of my all time faves - just the hype is a little off-putting.
brandon bloc and Alex P are proper party DJ's, have a laugh and take the piss, wouldnt mind seeing them playing together as i rekon it would be a laff just dont take them seriously.....
