boro - newcastle Top 5 finish for the smogsters this season wiv southgate calling the shots and pogatetz snapping forwards in two after eating a pound of raw meat before each game. wiv europe out of the way and viduka and the yak firing on all cylinders (best strike pair the NE has seen since the deane-ricard combination struck fear into defences through out the land) i can see us taking 6 points of newcastle this season. ohh yeah lee cattermole - the new robbie mustoe believe
to be honest im not confident for this season... i think southgate will make a top manager in time, i just hope this isnt too soon. the defence needs strengthening as it looks like queudrue is off to fulham, if he goes it will be a massive loss as he's twice the player pog is. we need a decent centreback or 2 and maybe fullbacks if players leave. midfield is pretty good with youth and experience all over... just need a right winger as i dont think morrison can hack it on his own all season. strikers... vids and yak could be immense, or they could be inconsistent. macca are graham are decent foil but i wouldnt mind another one to cover for the loss of nemeth, hasselbaink and i think job must have gone now too. quite a lot of work for southgate to do and we dont have europe as an incentive to attract the top names... could be a tough season ahead, i wouldnt put any bets on us finishing higher than newcastle unless we get a few damn good signings id say 8th is the most we can hope for. but that said... COME ON THE BORO!
Maybe a top 10 finish if Southgate buys the right players. Robert Huth will be a great signing for them.
boro to struggle this season for me . not got enough quality through the squad same as newcastle really but we will finish top half comfortably pending on us recruiting a decent centre hal;f and forward . Boro need to buy yak and vid are class but you cant rely on them to get you through a season ... @top five the top five are allready sorted . between Chelsea liverpool , man utd , arsenal and spurs leaving the rest of us to fight it out !
have to agree there mate... although if we eventually get huth + a couple more we might be able to look higher
