on a more football related note. ;)

think he will be a good signing, shouldn't cost more than £1 million and will hopefully sort out the shocking state of affairs we have been seeing at the back recently.

ehiogu can't stay fit and southgate is making mistakes, him and riggot would look promising for the future.

is southgate starting to make errors - i thought he was at fault for 2 goals against norwich?

he is 35 now so it was going to happen. Been an excellent centre-half over the years though

Balde could be a good signing but remember Ramon Vega looked good in Scotland

agree about the goals at norwich.

yeah i know age isn't on his side, but the errors he has been making appear to be mental ones rather than him not competing physically.

has had me puzzled for awhile, although i feel not playing next to another quality centre half may have had some impact upon him.

he is still the best centre back at the club and first name on the team sheet for me though. his leadership and proffesionalism can not be faulted and he is an inspiration for a lot of the other players especially the younger ones.

    agree with all that

Ledley King has a similar problem. Playing next to Naybet has helped him play to his full potential this season. When he's next to Gardner he's not as comfortable.

Hopefully he'll sign an extension though I think Henchoz could be a better player.
