Playing for sunderland did him the world of good, gave him loads of confidence and hes shown it. Def shud be infront of Zenden as he does fuck all. At least Downing aint afraid to take players on

He adds a bit of flair out wide that we have been lacking for years, probs since stuart ripley. I'm guessing that he will feature heavily next season as I highly doubt zenden will be here... if he proves himself with a good run in the team then he definately has the potential to go far.
