Booooooooooooooooooooooom I knew he prob thought we were booing him Poor sod JEAN-ALAIN Boumsong feared he was being booed by Newcastle fans - until he realised they were yelling "Boooom" to welcome him. The French defender got a shock when the St James' Park crowd started the chant and he was relieved to realise his mistake. Boumsong, landed from Rangers in January, said: "The first time I heard the shouts I wondered what it was I was hearing. I thought 'they are not booing me are they?' "Then it became obvious that it was a term of affection and it is great. I love the fans doing things like that. It gives me a lot of confidence." The £8million star reckons Newcastle have turned the corner after their 1-0 FA Cup win over Chelsea. And he will continue in defence alongside Titus Bramble in the UEFA Cup tomorrow. Newcastle are at home to Heerenveen after beating them 2-1 in the away leg in Holland.
Re: Re: Booooooooooooooooooooooom he never played in the first leg for you lot, but was that through injury or being cup-tied?
