    Books...

    anyone read any decent books as of late!

    i'm running out of stuff to read.

    so far this yr i've read

    Warren Fellows - Damage Done (excellent)
    Lian Hearn - Across the Nightingale Floor
    Danny Wallace - Yes Man (funny as fuck)
    Dan Brown - "can't remember name, the one about that code they had to break, nsa n stuff!!"
    Lian Hearn - grass for his Pillow


    all worth a read

    Depends what sort of stuff you want to read

    all of dan brown books are interesting prefer angels and demons to the da vinci code :)

    im really getting into "go away you fucking germ" by dan jullio at the moment. the veiws are highly pedantic but imo are completley justified by the tossers he is writing about

    Maybe so but still an enjoyable read - havent found anything else worth reading although the celestine prophecy is highly recomendable imo

    i have read 3, angels, davinci and that other

    each one follows a standard fomula

    currently reading davinci code.. brilliaint book! when finished that angels & demoms looks pretty cool too..


    have also been recommended some weird n wonderful stuff by a guy called irvin welsh...

    anyone read the bez autobiography??
    wouldnt mind doing that too...

    quite good if you can get over all the shite scottish implied accents/words...

    i would've thought the gg lot would think books are for 'the gays'

    but then most of whats been mentioned has been drug related or dan brown :lol:

    i read lots of stuff mate..

    mainly biographies...

    reg - by reg kray was is a fuckin excellent book, and is the ONLY one thats written by one of the krays and uneddited..

    alec fergusons is good..
    i also just bought paul mcartneys which looks pretty cool, not had time to reaf yet tho..

    if u like crime & stuff like that, i found cocky, the rise & fall of curtis warren a good read....

    dan brown i like but very samey samey a lot of his stuff..

    another interesting one is a book by an american called James frey - a million tiny pieces...

    i wont spoil it, just read it...
    its gotten a liittle bit of something everyone can relate to..

    what would u recommend by irvin welsh mate??

    Not a huge fan of Dan Brown tbh, decent stories but his style of writing doesn\'t do anything for me

    Recently I\'ve read, Hitchikers Trilogy, all 4 of them, The Time Travellers Wife, 1984 and Choke

    I've read all of those except Warren Fellow's - i enjoyed the one's you did so mayhaps i'll give that a read, (who the fuck says mayhaps?!) i fancy somehting different to read.

    I want to read that J-Peg has anyone read it? Can't remember the author.

    but i remember leanord.. his mate that turned up in the limousine...

    some of that was pretty hard hitting.. like where he turns up to the crackhouse & hears his lass friend blowing off some old cunt...

    didnt know there was a follow up but im definitely gonna grab it..
