Books - What are YOU reading?

Been a while since we had one of these.

What are you currently reading, bookwise ("Just 17" or "Revs" doesnt count)

    Me :

"Bill Bryson - A Short History of Everything"

About 9/10 of the way through it. Hard bloody work. Starts with the creation of the universe and goes on for about 570 pages taking you through astrology, geology, physics, chemistry, biology, evolution.... Been a while since i had my brain mangled with information but hey :)

    After that ive got:

Dan Brown - The Davinci Code
Anne Sebold - The Lovely Bones

    ... waiting to go.

    How about you?

A gritty first-person story of Bobbie, an adolescent petty thief whose lonely life among the flotsam of America is a hellish mix of hustle, drug highs, sex, and survivor humor. Bobbie finds himself willingly apprenticed to Mel, a brilliant professional crook and drug addict, in search of the perfect score in an incredible odyssey of high-time burglary and the extremities of violence tht carries them to Chicago, Southern California, and Indianapolis. And all the time he is learning from Mel, Bobbie is sinking deeper into an addict's fiery hell

I was out on a date with someone a month or so ago and she was asking me what books and stuff i read ... I hit a blank since all i tend to read is 'informative' stuff (politics, autobiographys, reference books!), rather than stuff with a bit of imagination.... So i decided i had to get back into a bit of escapism.

... Shame i picked up the Bill Bryson first  The other two are fiction though ... phew.

Pity like... although i hated school pretty much, im beginning to miss the discussions we had in English literature.
