    Bluetooth

as my phone is up for its 12 month contract with o2 sometime this month, i can upgrade my phone from my 3100. i am considering a new phone with camera, video, and possibly bluetooth, just as it sounds good,

can i just ask though, what the fuck is it? how does it work? is it any good? why would you want to "bluejack" someone? is it worth getting? is it useful?

All I know is say if ur with ness for instance, and he has a vid or pic he wants to send you, or anything from your fone for that matter and u both turned ur bluetooth on..you can send him it via bluetooth and its free...u can send as much stuff as u want!

it's a wireless protocol that in theory works between any two supported devices within the bluetooth 'range' of the device. mine can pick up things within about 25 meter radius. you can use it to do a lot of things, but in practice it tends to just get used for 'jacking' and file transfers.

an example - i have a bluetooth adapter for my pc, with this i can send things between my pc and my phone wirelessly.

it's not really such a coup with my current phone, cos it has a docking station anyway, but when i had the se t610, it meant i could download midi files and send them to my phone at no cost. voila, free ringtones :p

it's defo a worthwhile thing to have. :)
