    Re: Bluetooth

it's a new method of wireless connection between 2 devices, ie phone to laptop, saves all the hassle with the wires and stuff. I use it all the time with work, it's good.

Out in the sticks cool as fukk gang! :)
    bluetooth = wireless network

if someone in the wireless range of your bluetooth device, has a compatible bluetooth device, you can send files etc, via the wireless network. it costs nothing to use bluetooth.

    :)

i have a bluetooth port on my pc, so i can download tunes etc for nothing on my pc, then send em to my fone via bluetooth. :)

It's wireless networking. Means you can connect your phone to any bluetooth enabled PC within about 10ft I think. Most people use em with wireless hands free kits

Similar concept aye but its loads faster and has much better range.

You will need a bluetooth adapter for your pc, and then just find whatever you want to send and just select "send via bluetooth"

I have been pretty general here cos it can differ from phone to phone, but thats basically what you need to do

its easy once you know how :)

Infra-red needs a direct line of sight connection where Bluetooth doesn't matter as long as it's within the perimeter.
PC adaptor cards go for around £50

No idea. Just had a quick look on PC World site and they did cards and USB adapters for 59.99 so they must be £10-£20 cheaper elsewhere.

the only thing i have ever taken the warranty on is my laptop, as they said it was part of the interest free deal i took.

i later found out that that is illegal, but since its almost paid for I can't be arsed to make a fuss.

Never mind....Its covererd for 3 years, theft cover is for a year.

I'm paranoid my laptop is going to get stolen from me sometime in August........

I didn't/wouldn't suggest PC World. I just used the site for reference.
I buy all my parts from Computer Orbit. 2 minutes from my front door and cheap as chips.
