    blueline

ive lived in wallsend for 22 years and now live in high heaton and blueline are the best taxi service around, cheap and usually canny quick and on time

but recently and this isnt me being racist but there polish drivers are shit! they dont know where there going and there english is crap, the reason im not happy is there plates are berwick plates which means theres no need for them to take a test of the streets and that which i think is a fucking outrage, ive been in a couple of taxis and not knowing where i was going myself and they had no fucking clue not even genral idea of the area

Stopped using them a while ago for this reason... Fucking useless. Used to use them all the time. They're always late too.

Never had any issues with Lansdowne.

i TRY to use them whenever i am going from town back to my lasses house (south shields) cos they are the cheapest by a long way - but its very hard to get one booked for the early hours on a friday or saturday night!

probs my own fault for not being organised and booking in advanced like!

It's all about TJ's.. blatantly the cheapest. Plus they always turn up at mine within about 3 minutes of ringing. :D

I stopped using Blue Line a while ago for the text message you get, me phone bills were always creeping up off the amount of taxis used and was off there fucking text.

I have got into a few black cabs as well and the drivers asked for the money up front which has resulted in a swift fuck off and a slammed door.

I got into one last night and had to get out round the corner from mine cos it was bang on a tenner.

I seen the news a while back about the Blueline drivers getting there plates in Berwick then coming back here, it a fucking disgrace granted a driver cant know everywhere at all surely the sat navs will then help and its worse when they dont understand ya either !!

blue line used to be spot on a few years ago - cheap and reliable and it's around the corner from me - now they're awful.

lansdowne for me, or recently high view (spence will back me on this ;) ) - both cheap and reliable.

black cab in newcastle are a total disgrace - after getting 1 in leeds a bit ago, going TWICE as far as i would in a toon one yet it was still £5 cheaper. it's a real rip off.

I use Blue line if it is a Wallsend to Newcastle run or if I am at home & cant be arsed to speak to anyone, as I dial number the number & press 1 as soon as I hear the automated message.

If it busy night, I will ring Battle Hill taxis also known as Rattle Hill due how shite the car is. Battle Hill people are poor & cant afford nights out & with all the local boozers shut while the refurb happens means the usually have cars to spare.

High View are used if I am not in hurry as there office is about 20 meters from SpenceHq. Also use them if I miss the bus as they across the road from the bust stop. I also know a few of the lads work there so always have canny banter.

TJ's & Walker have all been sacked off due shoddy work from Walker to SpenceHq.

Here here!! I was amazed by that in Leeds

regarding the Berwick plates, all the private drivers are at it. I always use New Lem or ABC, they all have the Berwick plates but still don't get lost.

Something about fees or taxes or something. The black cab drivers aren't happy about it. It once cost me £25 to get home cos I was about £2 short and he drove me to a cash point and then fucked off so I had to get another cab!!
