    blocking websites

is there any way to block a website for a certain computer?

i know that its sometimes done at college, and only the administrator can access it.

the computer im wanting to block it on doesnt have user accounts, just the one that it goes straight into but there are several people using it.

nehow, yeah, wanting to block a few sites so that they cant be accessed anymore.

    ne ideas?

or if u wanna totally block it on a pc.....

search for file called "lmhost" or "lmhosts" cant remember exact name........

enter the url of website u wanna block. and a random ip.....

    i.e.

    www.nufc.com 127.0.0.1

what that does is whenever any1 tries to enter www.nufc.com it points to a local ip (with no server running - probably - so will get an error...)
