if its a scam like that and not just a "mate" annoying you then ring the network and report it. they HAVE to block the number. if they wont tell them u are going to report it to OFTEL.........

(or - if u have a samsung d500) u can block numbers so they cant txt/ring u

the network will know the originating sender. if they say they dont, they are telling lies.

tell them times/dates the texts were send - they should have it ALL logged.

Can you remember the name of that site which was sending you the texts? I think I might sign a few people up.

i signed up to sms.ac 3 years ago and never had a problem with it, but earlier this year it started sending messages every other day saying so and so wants to be your friend.. etc etc.. saying if you repliedit would cost you 25p.. it never mentioned the messages i was receiving were costing me too - it got walloped on my bill and i never asked for it in the first place.

i only signed up to it years ago as it was a way of sending free messages.. couldn't get the money back either.

asked about this at work today. if you ring your network, then they can tell you what number you need to ring/text to stop this partucular company contacting you.

but if you text STOPALL to 88888, apparently it will cancel all charging tet people from ever texting you again...apparently costs 25p and will work...or so says my team leader at orange.
