Black Cabs I left my bag in the taxi last night and I'm not sure what company is was. I thought it was five star but they don't seem to have had anything handed in. Does anyone know if there are many different companies operating around central Newcastle that fit the description of a 'black cab'? It's a long shot I know
You could be fucked mate, unless you got the registration number or licence ID you will have an extremely difficult time tracking it down. Nearly all black cab drivers are self employed, and have to pay the council so much every year for their licence, so the council are the only people with the fill list of black cab drivers with valid licences to work in the city (i think thats how it works). Without the reg or licence number though theres no chance of tracking them down. I know a lad who once lost a bag including £500+ cash in a black cab, he couldnt track it down to get it back!!
:s There was about £150 worth of stuff in my bag like.. headphones, aftershave, t-shirt, cap, book, tools for college/work. Don't some companies have plain black cars with just a little logo or number on the side of them? I'm not fancying my chances like but it's worth a shot..
I once left a lottery ticket in the back of a taxi, never found that either... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/3024909.stm CUNT!
Some do mate, they are in the minority though i think. Whats the names of the ones based at the station, Noda taxis or something similar? I think they might operate black cabs from their office, worth a shot anyways.
I had a knife in there that cost me a small fortune and I've only had it for a couple of months Nevermind eh! I've learnt my lesson now, don't go out on the piss when you have your college/work bag with you
