    ta :)

excuse my naivety but do they not all 'do' the same thing?

    ie. facilitate the torrent downloads?

other than the spyware issue, whats the difference? the mackem said Azureus is a resource hog, why should it hog more memory if it basically does the same thing?

    Azureus is a java client,

Bitcomet is probably the best one imo Tom, I've had no problems with it in re: to spyware/adware. I've also found that I get quicker downloads with Bitcomet, than I do with Azureus with the same files.

If you're a member of any private tracker, don't use BitComet, as it is being banned on all private sites.

Best client for ease of use and very low resources is uTorrent: http://www.utorrent.com/

*edit - Azureus is a resouce hog as it runs on Java, other torrent clients tend to be built using Python or C++
