    Bit Torrent

    Hi guys :)

Can someone explain what this is, what it does and how I can get it? :flowers: Please go thru the latter in very simple format as Im hopeless with all this technical stuff.

Ive been on http://bittorrent.com/ but its asking me to choose a mirror. I do but nothing happens. What do I do then? And will it affect anything else I do on my computer?

The reason I want it is for the music downloads that Ive found but are only available to these users :(

    Thank you

    Yo Yo Yo!! :p

    1. Download Azureus
    2. Download Safepeer (instructions inside zip file)

Install Azureus 1st - its ded easy - then goto the folder u installed azureus (c:\program files\azureus\plugins) and make a new folder called safepeer - copy the contents of the safepeer zipfile into this folder)

Then just try and run azureus - it might ask u to get java - just say yes if u need to and it will grab it automatically.

Theeen......just configure azureus using the wizard - ded easy.

Finally - just search on google for torrents.....for example if u want a movie called hide and seek...goto google and type in... hide and seek torrent

    Shud find u sum

U will pick it all up - its ded easy once u get started.

after u have installed azureus - thats the important thing to get u goin. safepeer just gives u sum extra "protection" cos it stops u sending files to blacklisted ips (government etc) - so keeps em off ur back lol.

Ive configured it and there's an error message popped up with a frog saying "Cant read 'plugin.properties' for plugin 'safepeer': file may be missing". But I saved the safepeer into that file :spangled: :dunce:

if u cant get it workin yeah - not end of world.

peers are other people...and seeds are ppl "seeding" or "sharing" the files/data u need....the more seeds there are the faster it shud download :)

the little frog logo things i THINK are the torrent files? u dont need to keep em once u finished ur downloads :)

If the video files you've got aren't playing in media player or real player, download vlc here , install it, right click on the file and select play with vlc. Should work no problemo. :)
