    Big Sam for SAFC

Personally, i'm still unsure on why he would leave a decent premier league side for us. But yet bookies have stopped taking bets and its been on pretty much everything, SSN, Radio 1, local news etc etc..

I was told last night it should be all done and dusted by next week!

if this does happen it will be great for the club, a decent PROVEN manager with the backing of the board. If not, well...we'll just have to wait and see!

tbh there's more chance of sunderland surviving a season in the premiership than landing big sam

Should be a fun season if Big Sam's love of long ball tactics combines with Niall Quinn's love of the long ball.

I was well happy Newcastle didn't give Allardyce the job, he's gash imo.

what he's done for bolton is nothing short of outstanding you fishcake. He turned a rather poor division one side, in to a very good premiership team!

So you'd rather have Roader than Allerdyce ?

He uses long ball tactics combined with rough style players, what he's achieved with Bolton is pretty much the limits of his ability.

...and yes, I'd rather have Roeder. You fishcake.

Sounsess came in at Newcastle hving won a trophy at every club he'd managed - history doesn't mean everything.

All I'm saying is I'm pleased Allardyce didn't take charge of Newcastle, his style may be effective at the lower levels but I don't think he has the ability to do any better than he's currently doing, and Bolton certainly aren't a good team to watch.

7th & 8th is lower than the level Newcastle are targeting, even if it's not what we're achieving.

The Spanish & Italian leagues are better than the Premiership, and it's hardly top class teams filling the 7th & 8th slots in them is it?

Definitely better than 7th and 8th in the italian or spanish leagues.
