I reckon a lot of you are the geezers proping up the bandits waiting for your horse results to come in?!

Only ever placed a bet on Derby day and the National!

I've never tried a casino, although have been tempted for many years. Any tips on best place to go, what to play etc?

I'm not bad at holdem, but would probs stick with red/black on the pontoon table to avoid embarrasment and an empty pocket!

What's the best result you've had gambling wise?

My best WOULD have been if I hadn't taken the £20 note i had put on 36 red back off again, only for it to roll in.

Ive won 2grand in the casino before and had four up on a lucky 15 at the bookies for £1300. Spend a fair amount though and it all goes back at the end of the day

Won 1200 from a roulette machine & 240 on the horses on my first ever step inside a bookies from about £30. Was hooked from that point on.

Since then havent really won alot £300 on roulette couple of times, £500 from bandit at work couple of weeks ago.

Could safely say since that one lucky debut day at the bookies about 2 year ago I could've bought myself a middle of the range brand new car with the cash I've lost. Considering I dont earn big bucks I wish I'd never of stepped foot inside a bookies.

Best bet ever is to not bet.

My Dad plays poker all the time, in the last 3 year he has won £200k he's up about 150k to win that.

He plays with Micheal Greco (Bepe from Eastenders) who plays poker for some high profile celeb, he takes 10% of the winnings plus expenses.

My dad also came 1st in the Blue Square Poker championship last year (thats out of the whole of europe.

But the most I'v won is £120 on the poker table in the casino

Oh and 20 euro in amsterdam when I beat Mick, Cooney and Jez at poker

basically put off the horses due to the fact me old man had me in the bookies on every toon matchday for years and got sick of the place!! used to go grosvenor alot like,but then realised should be ganin spending me money on little fellas, not on shithouse roulette tables!been to dogs a load of times, always a good laugh and done reasonably well everytime as it pays for your night out, imo brough park is much better than boldon or pelaw grange like!!other than that during football season put an accumulator on every weekend, never won f**k all on them all season like, proper joke..only money i did win all this season was £350 on martins first goal and 3-1 against tottenham at home

sweet f.a, closest i've been is 6th in the poker tournament at the gala casino in sunderland.

if you can play poker i'd recomend it. I paid £25 in at 8pm and it lasted me up untill 1am. That was getting to the final table though. Kept me off the blackjack/roulette You have 30 min breaks and service round the tables, winner.

I really wanna get into playing Poker at the Casino's, love playing online, just unsure of what you gotta do all the tapping on the table for checking & all that shite.

Anyone know of any beginner courses at Casinos at the town or owt, preferably Aspers?

I like a dodge to the casino but never lost or won more than 40 quid in a night, usually stick a tenners worth of football bets on each weekend, dont to do bad but Im almost certainly down lol

I'm defo gonna have a dodge over sometime. I'd better start playing online again, I havent had a game for a few month now.

My dad ad brother set up a website www.newcastle-poker.co.uk which details all nights etc at both Grosvenor and Aspers which details what nights are beginners, the stakes etc.

It's basically a forum for poker players of the north east, both play regularly and do pub leagues n stuff so is a canny good site.

Both played in the virgin festival at aspers and we're all going down for it at Nottingham. Dad's off to Vegas for world series but bro is too young at the mo.

I only play online bit too shy for the casino's but thinking of joining a pub league or going to the beginners nights. Always put a £1 accumulator on the footy at the weekend but never won yet surprisingly as the odds are always about 200 to 1! One day though

THe main things I have won are on the radio copetitions, local rates though never premium lines, and would say i'd won about 10k in total in various forms!
