Best site(s) for torrents?

A private torrent site that I've been a member of for a while now has been shut down in the sense that all activity has been stopped and now it's just a load of discussion forums. Seems some men in black have found them or something

What sites does everyone use these days? All legal of course Wouldn't wanna be giving anyone the impression that I don't pay my £15 per film. http://joox.net is a canny good video streaming site that I've been using lately but for torrents I'm pretty much lost. Has anyone ever been caught/warned about the use of torrents from their ISP or other?

piratebay.org i've started using recently. torrentspy used to be good according to Laz but they're currently being taken to court to release the IP's of people using them

Yeah I used to use torrentspy.. although tons of the stuff on there uses various trackers anyway does it not?

bad news if they released all the ips like. all trackers have to keep a log of ips cos thats just how they work i ust hope they dont get passed onto the feds or alot of us will be shafted, saying that like the rate my internet goes id be fucking smaller than small fry for the copyright cocksuckers

In reality though, what would any one anti-piracy group gain from having the list of IP's? Would they target x amount of the highest seeders? x amount of random people? x amount of people who uploaded a certain file? It would all make more sense and save a hell of a lot of money to just shut down the site altogether.

There must be millions of IP's to one tracker.

Never use torrents anymore
been using direct downloads for ages
but it helps if you have a rapidshare account
always get download speeds of over 200kbs

think its about £5 month
but cheaper if you take a longer subscription
you can use it without a subscription but then you cant do multiple downloads
you can get just about anything you want from that site

theres a way round it if you wanna use rapud share for stuff. if your on a modem or router and ya isp gives ya dynamic ip addresses ya salted, that is if you dont mind having ya dowloads limited to about 250kbs (i only have a 2mb line atm so not sure if id get anymore)

download part 1 of whatever ya getting, once its downlaoded load ya routers webpage up and disconnect yaself from the network then reconnect and you will get a new ip address from ya isp. download part 2 and ..... until ya got the full file, being doing it for a while now, seems to work ok

the downside is, if its rapishare ya using then you can only get 100mb at a time whicch meants you cant really leave the pc to download the file as 100mb at about 250kbps only takes less than 7 minutes
