Ranger looks like he's well on the way to becoming the next Kieron Dyer - we're defo better off without him. As for Smith, I don't know how he's lasted as long as he has. Never regained the form he showed at Leeds, he was inconsistent at Man Utd, he's been utter shit for us. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've seen him put in a good game. The worry is what or who we'll get to replace them - getting rid of the deadwood is all well and good, as long as you intend to put someone better in their place...
