I wasn't impressed by the last behringer mixer I used. While their compressors and audio equipment are usually top bollock, their mixers leave something to be desired. The mic gain is crap (not really something most people have to worry about) and the slider action is waay too slippy.

If all you're after is a four channel mixer you can get much better without paying much more. I bought a numark CM200 for home and mobile use (mainly because I need a one with decent mic inputs), it's a 19" rackmount mixer, and they do it in an effects version (clicky )and a USB version (clicky ), which is spot on if you have a laptop and use that to DJ. The USB setup means that there are two audio devices (soundcards) built into the mixer, all you need is two usb ports on the laptop and away you go.

or if numark isn't your thing, vestax do the VMC004 - you can pick that up for under £200 (clicky )

behringer are actually a canny good make - it's very similar to the DJM600 but at a faction of the cost - for that price - it can't be beat!

You must have a shite mixer if you think its good mate ;)

Proper plasticy with horrific build quality, The faders on the one in Clear Bar started to crackle after about a month

Why oh why did they bother putting those 'fx' on it , they dont do anything whatsoever

And to compare it to a DJM600 is an insult to anyone who has paid £600 for a 600

Its is £125 for a reason...

    and thats because its rubbish.

Reclined with my feet up !
My mate bought one a while back thinkin it could be a nice cheap alternative to the djm600 just for home use , he had a mix with it and a play with the effects , boxed it straight back up and sent it straight back ordering the djm600 in its place , said it was a nightmare and the effects were shocking on it

    I loved my PCV275

I now love my PMC37 even more though

its owns the Xones and DJM's imo (apart from the filter which isnt up to the standard of the Xone)
