Beginner Photoshop Help How do I create a new layer on a picture but only have a certain area from the orignal pic in the new layer? I want to create a new layer on photo but only use the skin from the person in the orignal, in the new layer Anyone, please?
You'd have to use a selection tool to select the skin from the background layer Copy it Then create a new layer and past the selection onto it..
The best thing you can do to learn photoshop is just mess about with it.. Once your used to the interface you can use pretty much any adobe product as they are all roughly the same layout/process.
thats what i did to learn how to use it, i can pick up most software packages pretty easily. look at my sig and avatar both done on adobe photoshop
If your into doin animated stuff (and even more so interaction with animation) then you should try flash. However be warned.. you need some form of tutorials or books to help you.. you can't just pick it up and mess about with it. Have a look here for some helpful tutorials..
