A protester has attacked a controversial waxwork nativity scene featuring England soccer captain David Beckham as Joseph and his pop star wife "Posh Spice" Victoria as the Virgin Mary.

"He pushed Posh and Becks over. It caused some damage but we don't know how much. The baby Jesus is fine," said a spokeswoman for Madame Tussaud's waxwork museum in London on Monday

Untouched are: Kylie Minogue who is an angel,Tony Blair, George W. Bush and the Duke of Edinburgh who are The Three Wise Men, Samuel L. Jackson, Hugh Grant and Graham Norton who are the 3 shepherds

I took a pic up Jean Paul Gaultiers kilt at Madama tassuads and he's not very well hung by all accounts.

if a bunch of snotty nosed kids can do nativity plays every year and many varying actors can play religious figures i dont see how a crap waxwork scene could be sacreligious or offensive!

To be fair the catholic church must be raging with Mr play away from home Beckham in the Jospeh role.

and victoria is hardly virginal!

Jesus was not the son of God, Mary was not a virgin.

Jesus was married to Mary magdelaine and had a daughter called Sarah.

He was acculally a blood desended of the jewish king solomon but the church did not like this so Covered it all up with the new testement

as it is a subject i have experience in, i could write 1000 posts of religious and theological babble and counter truths... but its more hassel than its worth.

im not saying that your right or wrong but dont believe everything you read... if any thing was conclusively proved we would be living in a different world

The fact is the bible was written by the church to control people that much is fact. I not saying the bible code stuff is all true but it makes more sence than the bible which just does nto match history. Im an athiest to my core so i look at this from an outsiders view i dont care which way i believe, im not blinded by faith

the bible is full of fact, plays along well wit almost all history and written well before the church existed

whether you believe the message or not is irrelevant... most religious doctrines are based on some truth, the bible is heavily based on truth as is the Quran. The Torah is essentially the old testament so that applies here also.

athiest or not you cant discount whole religions as untrue because you read a book or it suits you. Oh, and if you say you would believe the bible code ahead of the bible you are very naive as the bible code relies on the bible being a factual document to be accurate.. or did you miss the poin somewhat?

Noahs flood is based on an ancient flood that wiped out everything in that place at the time... so a "world" was destroyed so to speak... it then appears as a story in the bible. Jesus has long been accepted as a real person as have most biblical figures as they have been documented in ancient texts... the same way we know about ancient philosophers, kings, emporers, heroes etc.

The simple fact is you cannot disprove ancient events, just as much as I cant prove them (only I have little wish to, your manner suggests you want everyone to abandon their beliefs and claim your right, that in itself is very stupid and not to mention dangerous). If we could prove religion it would be a different place... science has yet to disprove religion wholley and that is why it still exists... personally I find religions very interesting and you can learn vast amounts from the writings and teachings, not in an evangelical or spiritua sense either. They have shaped our world and in their pure forms can be good life codes... people misinterpret them constantly which causes vast amounts of harm. At least know your facts bfore getting into such a debate.

You say i have little knowledge but i have been interested in the history of religion for about 6 years now and i even went to Paris to see the da vinci collection to see if what was siad about his work was true, that guy was ahead of his time and realised that religion was just a amassive cont to control people... I mean jesus the son of god.... yeah right it would help if there was a good, Science disproves nearly the whole bible and that has fact and proof to back it up
