    that's shit

it's pretty much the only place i use but i doubt it will be now

think all mp3's on trackitdown.net are £1.49, if you buy a load of tunes saving 50 pence a shot will soon add up

I use more than one site to download stuff, namely because a lot of stuff on beatport marked as "restricted" is available elsewhere without any problems.

Sure, beatport is easy to use and looks nice, but it's not the only site doing this on the net - their loss

i'm still gonna use it to look for stuff.... then simply buy elsewhere cheaper

just means i'll have to spend even more time looking for music

this is the reason i started using beatport, i think it's always been a tiny bit more expensive, like some sites' tunes are £1.29 i think, but i didn't mind payin a little bit extra to save time goin on various different sites, not any more though

    £2.50 for an mp3?

I thought people stopped buying vinyl because it was too expensive?

2.50 is a rip off .... especially when you price in the miniscule cost of digital distribution and the low cost of production (compared to 'mainstream' music production)

I have no doubt in my mind the vast majority of producers make their music for near enough fuck all income to themselves and do it for the love of the music rather than the living it makes..... but when the tracks hit 2.50 its starting to stink of 'large company making a killing' rather than supporting the artists.

Factor in the WAV handling fee and your paying more for a tune than you would if you bought a single down at HMV. Something quite wrong there.

Beatport will price themselves out of the market. Good. I hope there greed learns them a lesson. I use it to preview and find tracks but i cant remember the last time i actually brought a track from it.

    Hi Guys,
One of our customers brought this to my attention yesterday. There was actually a weird glitch in our system. If you clicked into the actual release or added any of these tracks to your crate they would still be at the correct price point(£1.73)but for some reason were displaying at £2.49 inside of the search results.

This has been fixed as of now. :)

any chance you can have a 'glitch' where the prices go down instead of up?
