Beatport no longer accepting Maestro Fucking DICKS. Think I'll have to rinse them using torpac, a final fuck you.
its still accepting my maestro card like rossy, or is it just not accepting maestro when your using torpak?
get with the times get a delta or visa. maestro and switch are less accepted than bacon at bartmitzvah
I got an email, they stop working on the 1st of July. Can I get a Visa/Delta without changing my bank account at all? You're right, they're fucking shit.
fucking hell, and i doubt HSBC, my bank, does any other card than a maestro card. tbh rossy when they lose thousands because of this i'm sure they'll change there minds.
Yup, my debit card with HSBC is Maestro/Cirrus so it's a bit poo. I spend a load on Beatport and I refuse to use my credit card on t'interweb. Likewise my paypal is not connected to my current account. They can wave goodbye to my business
What a kick in the balls. Not everyone wants or HAS a credit card (me), so its a big fuck you to anyone who works on a pure cash basis. I use beatport all the time so this is a right old inconvenience. No idea why they have removed maestro - as far as i know it has the lowest surcharges? I bet their sales suffer as a result.
Never really use Beatport myself, just seem to use djdownload, trackitdown & cdjshop. Never ever liked Beatport
I dont rate Beatport that much, it takes too long for the music im into to get released, you get sick & tired of tracks "not being in your teritory" etc... & having to wait months for the fuckers to get a UK release on the site. Vonyc used to be decent, had shit loads of new tracks in all the time, but it unfortunately closed a few months back. Audiojelly is pretty good for Tech & Trance they have quite a good back catalogue of older stuff & have their fair share of exclusives each month, I love shopping for Techno on there as it's not all the itchy glitchy shite MP3 stores now pass off as Techno. Id never use that cdshop, granted they look lovely in your CD wallet with a cover print on etc... but the prices are rediculous.
i liked beatport like, was good for some techno and the prog stuff, for tech-trance and trance it was a bit gash tho, although i normally get trance and so on by other means jelly's dead good for tech-trance and techno like - and i'll be gracing it alot more if beatport gives meastro the finger, and plus its top drawer for DnB as well
I refuse to use a debit card on t'web as they could hoover out your bank account. my credit card details got scammed from some russian site that I'd never heard of but HSBC coughed it up as a refund straight away and issued me a new card
