    Barry 'flattered' by interest from Newcastle

    Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry has admitted to being 'flattered' at speculation linking him with a possible move to Newcastle in the January transfer window.

    But the former England Under-21 captain insisted he is in no rush to sever his ties with Villa ahead of Saturday's clash with Graeme Souness's side at St James' Park.

    I thought he was class last season. Very versatile aswell. Centre half, left back/wing back/winger. Wouldn't mind him, he'd defo strengthen our squad
