Pay your bills on time so you don't incur the charges in the first place

That can be between £28 and £40 a time. So it's probs cost you £40 odd quid to put a tenner on you phone each time

Soz to rub it in, but you should've seen that coming after the first mistake.....

as an adult it is your responsibility to make sure you have the money in your a/c for dirct debits the working day before they are due & it is ilegal to write a cheque without cleared funds to cover it in your account

i am not an adult :p

serious tho, i missed one loan payment and that was due to Natwest taking money out of my account for the 'advantage gold' account they think i have. (which i dont btw, i just have a bog standard cash card, no cheque guarentte or anything) and thanks to that they have cancelled my DD's.

anyone recomend a bank?!?! i just want a normal acc, no overdraft etc..

go into you bank & ask for the number for the financial ombudsmen...i might b able to get you the number on mon as they were in the wrong there...& if they won't do anything then they will...

hopefully the threat of you ringing them will make them sort it out satisfactorally :D

    open a barclays account...now there's a thought ;)
