I'd check out phones 4 u's reliability in getting 'cashback' actually BACK first.

I did one with carphone warehouse last year, did everything right and sent it all off when i should. Got sod all back from them - was owed 90 quid.

Bit of a warning before anyone signs over 40 quid for the next year!

That's a point, perhaps its worth sending them all recorded.

I promised myself I'd never do them again after I completely forgot about £60's worth a few years back, but for a free phone for the year then I can get organised.

I'd be very wary of phones4u. Had a right hassle with them since changing contracts a few months ago.

Haven't had any problems with the cashback thing yet, but don't send your cashback form by recorded delivery (even though that's what we were told to do) as it goes to a PO Box. It won't be able to get signed for and will never be seen again.

You have to send a form away each time you are due a cheque. If any of your forms are mysteriously lost or filled in incorrectly it invalidates your entitlement to all the remaining cheques you are due back.

I've been taking our forms into the shop, getting the manager to send them off for us and getting confirmation that they have been sent.

Considering a UK deal hasn't been formally agreed yet (at least thats the last I heard)...i'd say it would be some time indeed before we see it over here.

As for Phones 4 U....i'd avoid them like the plague to be honest! TOTAL con artists

    I thought O2 got it?

I'm quite happy with my N95. Same deal as Geordie mentioned. Only bad thing is there's a shit load of internet stuff on it and O2 rips your teeth out if you so much as look at a website :(

Apple are still in talks I think. There is a possibility that they will sell a sim free one alongside a contract one.

Will be here in autumn anyway.

You are going to have to sign up to a 2 year contract which is going to cost about £2000!!

Doesn't seem worth it for this years latest fad.

    2k?

They will have to price it so it is reasonably affordable to the masses otherwise they will not shift enough.

How do you know that? The one in the US is about 300 isnt it? It's definately not going to be sold on a £2000 contract

The contract is apparantly going to cost £2000 over the 2 years, not sure how much the phone is, but to put it into comparison that nokia phone that is really shit but is made of metal is £700 sim free, and has no extra features!!
