AVI to DVD What do people use so u can burn an .avi file to play as a DVD? dows it have to be converted before burning?
Re: AVI to DVD nar, well... maybe. Here's the simplest way : Just open Nero, new DVDVideo and drag and drop into the video_ts folder. it'll convert it if it has to. u can always get yourself some authoring software and start adding menus, shite like that.....
I've used cucusoft converter for about a year now.. then I use Tmpeg DVD author to create menus etc.. Takes a while but the results are worth it.. If you've got a number of movies to do I'd recommend you have a look at ya cpu situation as its mainly cpu depended IIRC..
The best and easiest way to do it is :- 1. convert the avi. with tmpgenc - remember the longer this takes the better the quality will be 2. i recomend tmpgenc dvd author to then convert the file to the recomended VIDEO_TS folder which your standalone dvd player reads to play the movie, frankie ect. 3 then last burn it with any burnin software, i recomend sonic recordnow max ... any problems or dvd traders hit me up on msn ... rayman_angela@hotmail.com
Wouldn't happen to be the apple monitor would it?? I passed that in a shop in town and dropped to my knees.....
hhmm... anyone else got problems with www.astalavista.box.sk ? i'm trying to find something for TMPGenc DVD Author 1.6... can't access astalavista from home and it seems on it's arse from checking from home...
Re: Re: AVI to DVD that didnt work, just said it was wrong file type. Dodgy might be right about needing a plugin im trying it using that cucusoft program, convertered it over night, so i'll have a play when i get in
hhmmmmmm... i've never had any problems with nero - make sure you've got something like the nimo codec pack installed
Some versions of Nero come with NeroVision, some don't (mainly OEM's). If you don't have the facility to convert to DVD, you'll need NeroVision.
