Does anyone on the board know why some avi files would just dissapear from my pc ?

I had them in a folder on my pc (one that isnt connected to the net) and they have just dissapeared .. the folder is still there though ??????
I have done a search for them but still it brings nothing up ..

Open up your My Documents folder, go to Tools --> Folder options, click the view tab and make sure Show hidden files and folders is selected. Then look again and see if they've reappeared. (press F5 when you're in that folder just in case your cache is playing up).

Also, try Start --> Search --> for files and folders, and search your entire drive for em.

This is a reason why Norton's only good product, Utilities, is handy - the protected recycle bin comes in useful.

    :)
