Audio/video lag when using NeroVision Express 3 to create DVD's

I am trying to put a Xvid file from my computer onto a DVD using NeroVision Express 3. It works fine apart from the fact that, as the movie or whatever progresses, the audio and video become out of sync more and more. It ends up with the audio being ahead of the video. After looking on google, it seems that this is quite a common problem with Nero but I cannot find the solution.

    Can anyone help?

Or are they any better programs at doing this?

I've only just started trying to do this kind of thing so I dont know that much about it at all. Maybe its something Im doing wrong?

Cheers for your help in advance. :)

it's probably when nero vision is trying to convert it back from what ever xvid compression uses to mpeg2. u could be buggered.

You could get one for £30 from WH Smiths online a month or so ago when I was looking
Bargain. it doesn't have RGB out but other than that it's a decent player- supports practically all formats

Was it supported by DivX ? i heard that its best to check www.divx.com to see if the player is mentioned on there .. that means you have less problems or something like that anyway .. im seriously considering purchasing one :)

ive had a divx dvd player for a while now , got it from aria.co.uk for about £40 ish , they got a new one in now with lan , so u just connect it to ur pc with network cable then choose the directory that u keep your divx/avi files in and play them thru the player !!

    ...fidds..:D ;)

I use WinAVI and it's great. Never had a problem when converting files to DVD or direct to mpeg1/2

Then I use cloneDVD to burn the video files.. only prob I'm having is with my recordable media. Cheap and nasty. Shame on me :tut:

Yamada are class! My Yamada DVD player cost me £40 two year ago, mint quality, 5.1 out etc, and has played every type of media I've thrown at it with no probs at all. I want one of the newer DivX/Xvid playing ones though :D

The only bad point is the screen that shows up when nothing's playing - looks a bit crappy. Otherwise my player's been excellent, it's read the shittest of shittest cdr and dvdr brands no probs, and the picture and sound are superb

 Do you mean 'is divx the same format as xvid?'? If so, no - but most divx playing dvd players play xvid too, look at the manufacturer's website to find out. :)
