    at school

did u have to do religious education & did u disagree with it? we had to do it, i didnt mind, but what i found wrong... was we were taught everything as factual, this HAPPENED so to speak.. i constantly found myself contesting this..
its fair to be taught that, people BELIEVE this happened, that to me is ok, but to push on that something which is down to a persons individual faith definitely happened, because a holy book says so.. thats not right imo..

    i do respect it..

i dont see why tho, as non followers, school kids should be told they must do that..

its not disrespectful to put it on the shelf with the other books unless u have faith in that following.. in my opinion anyway - i think its more of a mockery.

    Re: at school

we had RE but we were taught ALL religions, eveen tho our RE Teacher used to stand out side Stockport County's football ground with a wooden board strapped to him shouting the end is nigh and all that bollocks, so many ppl kicked off with him, i think he was sacked in the end for being such a fanatic  kids used to go to county just to mock him and throw things, and as it was out of school he couldn't do anything lol.

in some states of america the bible is taught as fact, they don't belieeve in evolution, bless em.
