Is it me or does this board attract a huge amount to arseholes?
They have their first pubic clubbing experience and it's ..." oh, fuck, lol, Promise is the best club in the world".
They need to get out and see the world...live a bit.

I agree. No club that shuts at 2/3am is going to win great prizes.

Do u read the posts, a lot of these "arseholes" as u so put it, go to crasher, Sundissential all the time.

I m from London, and have been clubbing there loads, but there is never the same feelin of everyone knowing everyone, which by the looks of things u aint ever gonna experience in Promise now!!

People are entitled to their opinions, and if people think this is the best club in the world then so be it!! But coming in with "U lot are all arseholes" is a fuckin childish attitude to have...

So some people have only clubbed in Newcastle, that maybe due to money, work, or other factors limiting them to where they can go!

U dont like the club or the people, then don't go!! Simple!! But these "arseholes" are some of the friendliest people I ve met whilst clubbing.

I have an idea...

I think the sound system and acoustics in Promise must be the best I've ever experienced, although their opening hours, capacity (something I'm not overly fussed about as smaller clubs often have better atmos IMO) and lineups cannot compete with other big clubs. I think that is what TranceyDJ is getting at.

I wouldn't call someone who hasn't been to Crasher or Gods an "arsehole". That's a big generalisation and an offensive one too. But I would say that you cannot judge "the best club ever" when it's one of your first nights out.

A rather sad, shortsighted, and damning outlook I think. UR entitled to your opinion. Shame you had to go an upset so many nice people with it.

The bigger the city, the bigger the clubs. The bigger the clubs the greater the anonynimity and the lesser the soul. While crasher has many great features, if you lose your mates you are lost.

I'd rather spend one night in promise than a month of Gatecrashers. And, as someone above said, in London it's worse.

Stayed at home, so had a wonderful night.
Whilst I wouldn't dream of of criticising the Promise promoters for their line up, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I appreciate they were trying to appeal to a wide variety of clubbers (and probably succeeded), I just didn't fancy listening to 3 hours of Mauro.

I must take this oppurtunity to thank myself for starting such an interesting thread, it seems to have gathered the sort of reponse I expected.

I agree with you on this one but I would like to point out one thing, I have never seen a post on this message board (granted I could have missed it) where someone has said Promise is the greatest club in the world!!!

some people say that promise is the best club in the world after they have only been a few times, coz they dont have to pay expensive prices to see big DJ's, or travel very far to go!!

i have been going to promise every week for 2 years, i aint been to the likes of crasher and to be honest im quiet happy with promise
