The last one I went to in Ahoy was good but like the top person said its a poor mans TIC. HOWEVER with Armin gettin number one and it moving to Jaarbeurs (ie ID&T are involved) all of the "show" aspects of Armin Only are going to improve possibly to Tiesto in Concert standard. My ticket is bought!
Couldn't think of nothing worse. You get the best out of Armin when he plays shorter sets, 2-3 hours etc...
Everyone to there own etc.. but Armin (for me) gets lost with long sets, all the floaty bollox with 10 minute break downs aint my cuppa. When I've seen him @ Armada & he's only been on for 2-3 hours he's quality!
was gona say its down to what trance you like BUT with along set surely you get the full lot ?? warm up stuff prog , uplifting , then tech , then bang it out? duno coss i never been to a 9hr set but surely you get best of both world's
We walked out of one of his 9 hour sets at Gods a few years back at about 2-3 am. We got in there more or less for the start and about half hour into his set he was playing stuff like Hydra - Affinity (Thrillseekers Mix) it was on the same level for about 3-4 hours and didn't go anywhere. I used to think before then Armin would be great for a 9 hour set but he obviously wasn't or he had an off night.
i have enjoyed all his longer set rather get armin for a longer set then get oakie ect playing bit parts with him.
