Why ask me I will only say yes, what your best off doing is listening to people from in the game from other clubs for your answer.
If its down to success, then no, they are not a big club. Reason being they have spent millions and millions and still not got any silverware. However, if you go on fanbase and merchandise sales etc. then yes, they are a big club. Depends how u define it really.
yep i would agree with u bri its hard to define as bri says, i dont see Spurs in my life time as a a big club, but success wise over the years they are
Of course they are a big club... 1. they regularly play in europe 2. they have a long history and proud tradition 3. they have achieved success over the years, despite times in the lower divisions 4. they attract big players and managers 5. they are favourites for at least a european spot every year, regualrly tipped for cups and play in finals as well as being involved in several tital races. 6. they command respect in the game of football and not many teams go to sjp expecting a win. 7. they have a huge fan base and are located in one of the uk's major cities. they are a bigger club than sunderland and middlesbrough, anyone who denies that can just look at the facts (altho i hope boro manage to tip the balance soon ). SMOG
imo to be a big club you need a huge fanbase, loads of money etc. winning tropies will only add to how big the club is
But it isnt because only a moron would say Blackburn or Leicester are big clubs. Bri are Blackburn & Leicester big clubs?
Blackburn and Leicester aren't successful tho..... Successful of late are people like Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal. Over the years, people like Leeds and Liverpool.
what about clubs like sheff wed and forrest that can claim to be big clubs yet are languishing in lower leagues? surely a newcastle fan can relate to that... smog!
Blackburn are 1 of only 3 clubs to win the Premiership & theyu won the league cup 2 years ago. Leicester won the league cup a few seasons back

They had ONE good season tbh and that is not successful no. Didnt Chelsea win fa cup, league cup, uefa cup etc ? And notice I said chelsea were successful of late....havent always been.
They only 2 things I class as barometer of how good your club is: the final league placing or success in the Champions League. The UEFA cup,FA cup & the League cup are all great to win & I would be on the piss for days if Newcastle won any & it would be great, but they don't mean anything on the big picture. When Sunderland finished above Newcastle they did because they were better & Boro are better team than Newcastle at the moment as league table shows, but last year Boro were not better Newcastle even though they won the cup.
