Motion and Sample hook up again, this time the two local favourites take over Newcastle’s clubbing institution- Digital, for what is going to be a massive party, with Newcastle debuts for two of the biggest acts at the moment.

Headlining will be none other than Art Department! The duo comprised of Canadian techno/house legend Kenny Glasgow and Canada’s fastest rising star and No.19 label owner - Jonny White. Their meteoric rise in the last couple years has seen them release the single of the year for 2010- "Without You," and a standout album, The Drawing Board, both on the mighty Crosstown Rebels and reach the no.6 spot in R.A Top 100 DJs poll of 2011. The key difference between Art Department and so many other "breakthrough" acts, however, is that individually they've been doing this since the '90s—a fact that is only too evident from their artful DJ sets.

Next on the bill, a headline act in their own right, Tale Of Us will showcase their signature sound that has made them become one of the hottest properties in house music. Since their debut EP dropped on Visionquest the duo have been highly sought after, with their remixes for the likes of Thugfucker, DJ T and WhoMadeWho becoming instant classics and their original productions a blueprint for a new style of dark, sexy, ground breaking music. Visionquest’s latest release the “Step Aside” EP has seen Tale Of Us collaborate again with Thugfucker to comprise the magic duo of Life and Death. Life and Death’s remix of Soft by Pillow Talk, released on the Life and Death label (Founded by DJ Tennis, one-half of Thufucker) is also worth a mention. As DJs the pair have been tearing up the world’s best clubs, including sets at DC10 and various other Circo Loco Parties, culminating in them being voted 15th in R.A’s Top 100 DJs of 2011.

Completing the bill will be the exciting talent of wAFF, now a firm Newcastle favourite, Waff’s debut release a 4 track EP for none other than Hot Creations is about to drop and with a catalogue of unsigned tracks, Waff is on the rise.
