Apple Stikes again! At my Organisation System! So i get a pop-up asking me to upgrade to 7.something, which i've dodged a few times just in case it would do what it just has. i upgraded, and the order in which i had spent MUCH time organising etc, has completely gone - and all my playlists etc have vanished. and NOTHING that i can see has changed within itunes. this is getting beyond a joke.
nah, as much as i hate what's happend, i still like it - plus i've tried using winamp and its more of a clart on than everything else AND itunes looks better. finished sorting out all my music. took me at least and hour and a half
winamp is by far the best player (in classic mode - fastest), but the file management is rubbish - media monkey is great for that though i've lost an iriver t20 recently and i've been looking at a 4g nano to replace it do they fade the tracks in and out? i'd like to be able to use it for backup in case serato dies mid-set (not to mix with, just a stop gap during a reboot/switch to cds)
no i dont think you can make them do that, and if they did i would like to know how to make them i suppose you could stick them on 'part of a gapless album' and then they wouldent fade - but sharply cut to eachother? otherwise - just stick a madly long megamix on it and press play when things go wrong
winamp is alot easier, and its got millions of skins/plugins.. the file management/media libary seems alright to (although never used it on any player) AND itunes is shite haha
itunes does crossfading between tracks, I've got a feeling the settings for it are in the Preferences Menu...
yes, i think it only does the xfade thing when its plugged in to a computer running itunes? when i come to use it, it will be because i dont have a computer i had been running a compilation on loop, but i always had this thing in the back of my mind saying 'when it goes tits up and you cut to mp3 player, it'll be at the very end of the mix and you'll still look a cunt'
