    Out in the sticks cool as fukk gang! :)
    Aol

    this sounds unlikely, but it can only be one of a few things surely...

    im but a few steps away from completing my broadband (WOO!) and have my wireless router etc, all workin perfectly.

    i foned AOL to tell em i wanted rid... got the usual spiel from em (and to be fair they clearly must have valued my custom, cos jeez, they offered to drop the monthly charge from £27 to £19.99 if i went with aol broadband... but my kit aint compatible with aol so they tell me, and having bought it all, i cant be fucked to change it again) but eventually i got em to cancel it, and it dies on the 1st may. no sooner did i cancel the service (which i have never had any issues with, worked perfectly as long as ive had em... ) then my connection becomes the slowest, most unreliable, dodgy connection known to man. :spangled:

    now, i connected all my router etc up at the same time as i cancelled aol, so im figuring

    A) this is AOL's polite way of saying fuck off and die
    or
    B)somehow my router / wireless gubbins (check mr technical ere :cool2: ) has killed it...

    whatever it is, it's got me puzzled....

    :spangled: :confused:

    Re: Aol

    :eek: WHAT???

    You mean all I had to do was phone them up and say I didn't want AOL anymore and let them "convince" me to get Broadband and instead of me forking out £27 a month I'd be paying £20 a month??

    BASTARDS :mad::evil:

    may be router, thing is AOL are generally trash anyway, always have been. Tiscali is the same, officially the UKs worst ISP now.

    Go with zen or nildram, best companies

    I just ditched aol for tiscali. AOL are bloody terrible! I've never been cut off so much and it is the slowest isp ever! Tiscali is great! I'm only paying for x3 broadband, but it feels like ten. No computer rage for me!
