Why the fuck can't i attach a picture to my posts? I'm sure i'm doing everything right, it's just a jpg, it's within the size limit etc. I'm clicking on the browse button at the bottom of the page, finding the file and clicking it, then when i click submit/preview post, the picture's never there!!! It's frustrating the piss out of me. Am sure i used to be able to do it before the board changed from promise to nucastle!

Have you checked your user setting in your control panel to see if they are on YES to attach pictures?

are you sure the pic under 4048576 bytes? ie 4.04MB i think thats right

Try changing it to a gif..
It'll reduce the size (bytes) a bit..

U never know..

Have changed it to .gif, the size is 868 KB (889,254 bytes), and picture is 600 x 494.

fuck knows then, use photobucket to load it on the net then use img code to put it in a post

I think I found it too:

When you preview your post it won't show the image you've attached from your hard drive but it also deletes it from the "attach file" box. Instead of previewing the post, choose what you want from your comp and then just post it - if you don't like what you see just edit or delete it

Have just tried, and now i get this:

Change the type of file it is then and try again. I've just tried and it posted one of the sample pics on me works hard drive - deleted it now though....

It is a gif already. Am i right in thinking that when you say change the type of file it is, i just have to right click and change it to .gif, .bmp, .jpg.?

ive had that problem with a jpeg image. i had to resave it in paint i think...
