    Anyone know the best free software for...

    ..removing snap crackle and pops when you record your mixes or vinyl onto the PC?

    Yes! But I thought the same might be useful in quiet parts of a mix.

    I'm using Sound Forge over the next few weeks to record some of my vinyl to PC if thats any help.

    depends how bad the pops and clicks are....

    If its an occasional pop and click you can zoom right in on soundforge and pull the click back down so its normal...

    The wav turns to dots which you can move... makes sense when you do it:D

    i do have a vinyl noise remover on my powercore, don't know how good it is, cause never tried it, but its expensive, don't really know of any free or cheap ones.
