my brother... spent most of the 5 or so years since graduation overseeing the building of them electronic info signs across the motorways, at least i think that's what he's been doing, think he's done a school and a couple of other things.

good job security from the sounds of it, company car etc. reasonably paid, but not silly money.

    P.S

Only do one if you have an A at A -Level maths. Dont think they let you in without one these days. Leeds do an alright degree in it.

    Plenty jobs tho

if you haven't got that, most places do an "access/foundation" course which allows you entry onto the degree, it's an extra year on top of the 3/4 you'd normally do, but worth it if you don't have the grades... worth looking into

my mate is working on the overhead metro line in Dubai. He's been all over the world with his firm and seems to make plenty of coin. Interesting work too if you like making stuff with big boys toys.
He had to do a lot of graft at uni though. You'd have to really want to do it.

Not sure yet mate. I'm starting with a basic engineering and maths just to get into the work as I've not done much with my brain for years. Then I can pick and choose the modules I wanna include. I'll probably do structural and design as the main things but possibly production engineering so i can get a job at Nissan as an engineer, they're on like 45k a year. If I'm halfway through the degree they may still offer me the job but for less money.

What sort of engineering do you do? I'm sure ive asked before like but i cant remember? Are you studying at the moment?
