Anyone here who has lost interest in this clubbing malarky..

I used to be bang into going to events. Trance, Hardhouse (back in the day :p), hard trance etc...

but now i have no interest whatsoever.

My mates still go every week to a different event, but im starting to think its time i grew up and left it to the younguns!

23 is too old to be popping littleuns and dancing like a twat.

I think im getting old fast! :spangled:

i managed till i was 28 and then gave it all up, its all a load of bollocks, "clubbing" nowadays sounds like my idea of hell to be honest. i am the grand old age of 30 next may = no fucken chance of moonwalking ever again LOL

what makes it worse is that i now "look down" on people who take drugs and think they are pikeys :lol:

Yeah, i'm not into it as much anymore either. Last thing I went to was Hardwick @ Evolve. It just doesn't excite me anymore. Think I'm getting more back into my indie stuff.

Another thing is it's almost surreal going clubbing just drinking when everyones wrecked, it's like dancing with a room of zombies lol

I go about once a month now and sometimes not even that, i dont make half as much an effort as i used to and am generally working at the weekends anyways so cant really afford to go out get smashed and the fuck it off, even tho its happened a plenty.

With me having a Season Ticket as well the banter before and at the match then after is 2nd to none and i enjoy that twice a month more than i ever have.

Ave been away four times this year as well and am due again to go away in 6 weeks tomoz for two weeks to India so cant really complain :)

Nope. The days of getting old, a Mortgage, the car, taking the Dog for a wnidy walk are a far cry for me yet. Making the most of my Youth so I can turn round when I finally do all of the above & say I had a brilliant time, instead of saying: "yeh well my house is nearly paid off but i've been broke just about every month for the past 20 year" fuck that.
I think my Clubbing nights out up here have definately got less, but find myself travelling to other Cities alot more.

Anderzz - cant believe your only 23 Lol, you may wanna try attending a different genre of night, you may be more scocially accepted to neck Cowies & dance till dawn? You dont always have to sit in some mosh pit unable to talk to have a good night out tho?

I find I still enjoy it as much as I used to, just other stuff gets in the way - I DJ most weekends and so do my mates who I go down the town with, that usually puts the halters on it.

I've found now that I can have a good night out without getting absolutely mashed on drink, I'm quite happy to go out and drink red bull all night and I wake up in the morning without any ill effects. Plus not drinking means I can take the car and not worry about taxis there and taxis home.

I suppose it's all just depends on your personal tastes, I'm 24 and still enjoying it. I find I'm going to see DJs and heading off to nights that I wouldn't have considered a couple of years back, so as far as I'm concerned it's all good

I actually cant remember the last time I went proper clubbing, think it may have been the last ever Promise

I still like a night out but I just haven't felt the urge to go clubbing. The music was never much of an issue in the first place for me, I preferred the banter, getting wrecked and afters. I think i've got a lot more responsibilities now as i'm no longer a student, I juct couldn't handle getting wrecked on a regular basis

I would never say never, and probably will get myself out if there are enough people I like going somewhere, but at the moment i'm sticking to pubs, bars and house parties :)

I went through a stage where i lost interest when i was about 22 but now im totally into it again. I just think i was getting older and dance music was getting a bit stale but last year and especially this year things are getting a lot more exciting. Most of the people i used to go clubbing with dont even bother anymore - putting their careers, relationships and mortgages first which is fair enough but i think ive got the balance right to enjoy all of it. Your only young once, i dont see the point in letting those things be the main thing in your life when your young because when you do finally settle down thats you till you grow old.

i think its so bizzare how you change your prefrence of going to nights and stuff.

i still love going out and sometimes wasting away a weekend but i also love just having a normal weekend been able to do things and chill etc.

dont go as mental as i used to, it takes longer to recover for work on the monday.

How the fuck is it bizarre? You get older, your interests change, simple as that.

To still be going out and taking loads of pills and listening to trance as you approach your thirties is beyond pathetic in my opinion.
