    Netgear router by any chance?

Put it on ebay, and get a Linksys.

It's a common problem with old wireless stuff - spent days trying to fix ours, but it couldn't be done.

New one - job done :D

Try phoning Belkins freephone number to see what they suggest.
I think belkin have a lifetime warranty so if it turns out to be faulty then they will replace said item. :D

it could be an authentication issue.

are you still connected locally and cant get on the net, or is it showing as "cable disconnected"

upgrade to the latest firmware
