Anyone doing Ibiza closing parties this year?

After dithering about for about 5 years saying that i'll go, I finally booked up for Ibiza last night. Going out on the 18th september. Might as well go before the grey hair on my head is outnumbering the coloured hair (happening quite fast actually).

Anyone gonna be around then? Recommendation about where to go? I was thinking Carl Cox at space...

Once you have checked Cafe Del Mar which is only a bit average, get yourself down to Kumharas with all the hippies/joints/wicked downtempo etc.

    Miles better.

Oh and to walk down from San An is a fucking mission, so get the ferry over.

Cheers for the suggestions chaps. I'll be over there the same time as you Michael (18th - 25th) so coxy at space was the one big night i wanted to go to. With those prices, I aint gonna drop that kind of dough more than once. Small nights and beach bars thereafter i reckon.

Those things you mentioned sound right up my street. Rossy's suggestion seems tip top as well, from looking at their website.

that mumu looks well good - A free beach party? It would be rude not to :)

Will check the old itinerary and let ya know. I've promised her indoors to do some 'cultured' stuff in between getting well and truly off my bracket. Its a professional balancing act at times ;)

Im tempted to book up myself, can you tell me how much you paid mate? Im off work from 11th to 27th so anytime in that would be Ideal .

Im not armed with that much spending money, but Ive been to ibiza before an I could possibly keep it cheap somehow if I only do a couple of big nights.

    cheers peeps

it was only 480 odd quid for me, staying in San Antonio bay in a 'supposed' 4 star hotel, and flying from Gatwick on Thompson.

I was quite surprised at the price considering i only booked 5 weeks out from when we're going. Although its classed as off peak season apparently.

it only cost me £316, flying from newcastle via Jet2. pretty crap airline but who cares when its only 2-3hrs and that cheap.

that includes the return flight and 5 nights in a 3 star apart/hotel in san antonio bay. which looks half decent with good pool and what not. my bro booked it up ill find out where he got it from and let you know.

dont book with expedia though as we tried with them firstly and they charged my brother twice for the hotel and not for the flights but neglected to inform him that the flight was full and still put the hotel payments through telling him his card was declined. nightmare!

Absolutey wide eyed amazed with how fucking EXPENSIVE ibiza is. It has to rate above London and Tokyo in that respect.

So .... 50 euros for a ticket to amnesia, 16 euros for a drink when you're inside, 8-11 euro's for a cocktail at cafe mambo or savannah. If you want to go for a meal anywhere outside the god awful west end of san-an, you are in the bag for some serious money ... anything from 30-50 quid for lunch for 2 people, and a few of the evening meals we had were 90 odd quid.

Now this aint going around ordering the priciest things on the menu at posh restaurants either, this is just going to decent looking places in ibiza town or on the nice side of the san antonio promenade.

I'm amazed the Ibizans havent totally priced themselves out of the market trying to get away with charging those amounts, but it doesnt look like it. The bars and clubs were busy every single day.

Obviously there will be a 'cheap' way to do ibiza, but unless you wanna hang out in big market style bars, or stay away from them all together and just shop at supermarkets and have partys, it's gonna be very hard.

I enjoyed it, but if i go back it will be for a weekend only!

yeah no matter how much of a good time you have you have still been taken as a absolute fool by the spans.

you could go backpacking across america or asia for 3 months and spend less than a fortnight in ibz.

the fact the fuckers didnt have the brains to freeze prices or even reduce them in these hard times is mainly why numbers on the island where low again this year.

how many people do you know who have done asia or similar this year? i know a good few.

not many people are clever enuff to look beyond what they know tho so places like ibiza and magaluf will always exist but i do expect other places to come on in leaps and bounds in the next few year i think Goa is going to great at xmas
