    any1 know about this?

    does anyone know anything about vintage sewing machines?

    I have aquired one from my dead grandmother and cant find any information about it?

    Just incase there is a sewing machine boffin on here.

    I don't know anything about them, but we used to have an old one and use it as a telephone table. I think they look cool :up:

    aye exactly what we use ours for,

    the lid openes up and then the doors do and there s liek a big wheel inside with a foot pedle!

    god knows what its for like

    Ours had a pedal underneath, so if you lifted the big wheel out and attached a belt to it you could pedal to make it turn, and that would drive the needle/bobbin.

    i 4got how many hours i used 2 spend in the habadashery shop thinking of bold new colours 2 make my scarfs

    it can be that hard to work out how to use it, i'm used to our old crappy sewing machine, the whole process is more or less the same i think.

    stuff i want to know really is are they rare, how much is it worth, are they collectable etc.

    I'm not selling it, it's just out of interest.

    It's a husqvarna viking type 19e in green....all the bits are still there and it's in its original case etc.

    It's dead nice to look at so i'm just gonna put it on display i think.

    i've already tried google not a lot comes up, and i have sent an email to husqvarna too, but i havent heard back yet.

    Its just really if anyone had a clue that all.

    but thanks FW, if nothing else emerges i will do the auction thing

    thats in america though, and its not as good as mine

    mines got a nice case and all the bits are still there, even the original box to put the needles in
