    Any smoothwall users?

I'm in the process of sorting a new firewall solution at work.

Before I shell out £1000 on a hardware solution i'm going to give smoothwall a bash as it seems very widely used and theres plenty of support out there. As there is no massive rush I can take my time in giving Smoothwall a good trial run.

The current network setup isn't ideal. The mail server resides on the WAN side (DMZ...although I don't think it's techically a DMZ as the current firewall solution only has 2 ethernet interfaces) along with some websites.

In the Smoothwall I would want to have 3 ethernet interfaces so that the DMZ has it's own interface.

For anybody that has used it, did you follow any guides? And for a corporate rollout, how long did you set aside for it? I work in a fairly small office but there is alot of systems running.

    Thanks folks

I've used it before for a VPN setup we bashed up at uni.

Dead easy to use and well impressed with it. There's loads of guides on google if you get stuck. Implementing the kind of setup you describe shouldn't be too hard
