Ive been a pc geek since i was about 13.

Counter Strike was my forte...

World of Warcraft stole my life for a while...

but now im dabbling in Battlefield 2.

Anyone fancy joining me for a game sometime?

Also im thinking of buying Age of Conan this week, if anyone fancys joining me in playing a big game that might consume my life.

if you havent got it already get cod 4, battlefield 2142 is canny mint aswell.

i play BF2, Bf1942 - i'm in a clan for BF1942

anything newer than BF2 and my pc will probably die!!

I've just completed the single player on COD4 on Veteran. Mint game, and definitely not as short as people make out if you play it on the hardest setting I'm stuck on the bonus level bit at the end now though. It's totally impossible, the one where you're on the plane and you have to find the VIP in 60 seconds.

I generally suck at multiplayer because I get on board with the games too late, so i get totally raped every round...especially with CSS

I like TF2, CSS, COD4, Crysis...gona get R6 Vegas 2 next i think

Hm.. I'd download it first cos apparently it has some pretty noticeable flaws, such as texture problems and the AI sometimes walking backwards into a fire fight :s There are also some frame rate troubles in high action scenes although i dunno what spec the test systems were that Gamespot used, but they said both were having trouble and I'd have though a test machine would be pretty beefy!

There's a 1.94GB compressed version by Skullptura on Piratebay/Demonoid. I'm getting there slowly but surely I've used a COD4 and Turok from the same ripper and both have been fine.

I've just got Battlefield 2 and haven't even had a chance to play yet and I've turned it off.

The controls configuration is the stupidest most annoying load of shit ever.

looks canny...i've never been overly keen on the monthly subscription thing though

There are lots of controls but you wont use them all.

Its worth getting a joystick plugged in for flying jets etc.

Dont give up on it straight away its a mint game

I probably would use them all, but not if it doesn't let me configure it my way!

If i choose say, ctrl to be the jump button, and it's already taken by another command, it doesn't ask em if I'd like to overwrite, it just tells me it's in use and that's it.

If I remember correctly, BF 1942 was the same

ive just downloaded cannon fodder 1 & 2 to play on my pc but thats about as far as it goes for me

BF2's good, i quite like the controls but i'm not a big 1st person shooter so i dunno whats best
