    aye i thought we'd play better and be up for it more... i dont think they turned up at all.

    but aye, sevilla are a consistent side and probably the best side we've played against, including roma. no shame in losing to them but it was just the manner that was dissapointing.

    with mcclaren, i thought he has nothing to lose so that might be a factor... but in the end i reckon he would have wanted to sign off a hero, instead he signs off with us 14th in the league and thats where we were when he took over. i'll give him credit for the cup win and the background work, but its about time we took the next step up. :)

    but yeah credit to him but when people look back at this year all they will rember is boro league position 2nd place you dont get anything harsh but its true good luck to the next boro manager i think it could be cooper or southgate me self:eek:

    o'neill was favourite a week or two ago but he's tipped for the mackems now... paul jewells odds dropped the other day too. round could get promoted too to keep the status quo.

    id like to see venables back, and mowbray would be popular but to move upwards i think we need experience. cooper and southgate are both being primed for future rolls at the club, cooper's already on the coaching staff and gibson said he wants southgate to stay past his playing days so you could have a point there.
