You won't fill a 400 capacity room with tech trance on.

    Hire someone's garden shed.

if you don't do your home work, don't know the city and what it venues it has to offer, the clubbing crowd - how can you expect to make a night work?

there's lots of different venues, some work some don't

It's the new hard trance/hard house.

Everyone who used to play them now play Tech trance.

No offence but i can't see it working, in Newcastle Evolve and Junior G already have trance covered and have made a name for themselves, Evolve mostly book bigger name djs with junior g booking more up and coming acts, what could another night like this possibly offer?

Not to mention Detox who have quite a big following covering the harder edge of trance now n then.

Good luck if youse go for it because a town can never have too any nights, i just think it'll be tough.

Arent evolve and junior g half empty most of the time though?

Dont waste your time on trance in newcastle, you'll be fighting a losing battle either way.

which strengthens my point even more, they're established nights and even they struggle, i didn't say they were ram packed but they are bigger nights which cover the genre already and seem to get by.

Not just cos i go every month regardless but the last 3 maybe 4 Junior G's have been sold out and the last Evolve was PVD, nuff said.

i must admit, the last few junior G's have been pretty much full (the ones i've been to) and evolve isn't doing too shabby either, whatever u think of their line ups

like someone else said, most of the bases seem covered - evolve doing the big room trance mixmag type heros, while junior g going for the young upstarts - what with other nights running it's quite an established scene in newcastle , quite small with LOTS of back biting - breaking thru looks to be a tough gig without a local strong following of good mates

but, lets all not piss on their parade, once again it's a good showing that someone still wants to put on a good party - well, i hope thats what it is, rather than someone just chucking a few hundred quid at the latest name being touted then hoping tons of people show up

Forget putting a night on in a nightclub because there arent any.

Just find an old disused building, hire a big fuck off soundsystem and a couple of strobe lights and let rip until the cops turn up.
