Any Good Phone Repair Places Round Here? Last night before I went to bed I put the phone alarm on to wake me up in the morning... that was the last time I saw it working This mornin when I got up, late, the phone screen was blank. The phone won't turn on and sometimes when plugging the charger in I get a red blinking at the infrared port. The only threads I can find in t'interweb are all ancient and say the phone is too new for fixes... bloody useful that. If anybody does know it would be hugely useful as all my numbers are on the phone and not the sim so I have no idea who is calling or texting me, and I could really do with some of the numbers on my phone to get in contact with people. The phone is a SE K800i btw. I don't care about getting it fixed so much as I can send it off to o2, I just want my numbers really Cheers, Luke
u got the data cable for it? don't they sync with your PC.. somehow.. maybe you can access the address book that way
I might go to the Sony repair centre in Cramlington, just to get my numbers back. Then send the bugger off to o2 as it is insured.
yet again my joy stick on the sony erricsonn is sticking and really pissing me off, had the phone to bits and cleaned it but still no joy. would this place sort this out? really annoying:evil: and im stuck with it for another 12 months
There's a Sony Ericsson repair guy at th Carphone Warehouse in the Metrocentre apparantly. Maybe he'll help you m8.
Yeah, I had 3 k810i's this year. All fucked up. They ended up replacing it with a Nokia N73 which has been spot on. My upgrade's due next month but I dunno what to get.
Its about a tenner for them to replace the joystick, probably go though a couple on a 12 month contract though
Nah they were on the phone memory mate I got hold of some software so I could flashing the erom which is apparently what it should have been, but it still won't turn on. Might just put it in the bin Can't say I've ever had any joystick bother on the 800, 700 + 750 were shockingly bad for it though
got a feeling if you flash the eprom you'll lose everything anyway - if you've got the correct data cable
Nah, you should keep the data. It's only flashing the firmware when its lost. My mate is taking it to the NE Sony repair centre to see if they can get my numbers off it at all. Failing that it's off to o2 for a replacement handset followed by an upgrade
Schoolboy error not saving all your numbers to your SIM. Comes in particularly handy when youve been partying for two days and have no battery on your phone and you need certain numbers off your phone... you know taxi numbers and that
