    Another Recording Mixes Thread

Getting major problems lately with playing back recorded mixes & skipping all over, nightmare when put a mint mix together. I'm using Audacity & never have the Input Volume more than 7 could this skipping have anything to do with faulty wires etc? Its doing my fucking nut in!

Once again, is there not some small recording device I can put into back of mixer & record onto that then plug that into laptop at a later stage as I also cant get on the computer whenever I need to. Would much rather prefer to do it that way, even if its gona cost a little bit.

Cheers in advance. Listening back to a mix at the minute, its a fucking joke, boils my piss.

it might be programs running the background (AV, firewalls, torrents, etc, etc) hard disk powering down - anything that effect HD activity. Got into power settings, set all power saving setting for 3 hours or something. Disable network stuff, unplug it, have nothing else running.

Failing that, record to minidisc  get them off ebay for less than a tenner - i've even got a load of brand new discs i'm about to put on ebay ;)
